first thing to check would be a code reader for dtcs, failing that check the dpf sensor pipework for splits, cracks, burnt ends at dpf end. thats quite common. this can give dpf showing blocked when it isnt. the dpf sensor itself is another common fault that " fails within range" this fault doesnt normally cause a dtc so difficult to diagnose
Hi, having had the same warning come on my car 2011 2.0tdci I started investigating: Happened twice on longer runs, car probably trying to regen, it looks like it might be the fuel vapouriser in the dpf, these get blocked so the dpf can't regen as its basically a glow plug that helps to burns extra fuel put into the dpf when it needs a regen. As a result Lucas recommend that exhaust sensors are replaced at the same time as the exhaust system or components such as the DPF or CAT. Exhaust Gas Temperature sensors have many features to help them withstand vibration but it can still take its toll over time. Installation advice. 1. Ensure the exhaust system is cool before starting work. 2.NbFXeTf.
