This happens intermittently but it also tends to occur more when the vehicle is facing down an incline. Sometimes at the same time, the reversing camera will not operate. It is as if the computer did not detect the Gearbox being put into reverse and is taken by surpise.
I stopped and the message centre said "transmission fault limited gears available" or something like this. I felt it was probably due to being a bit hot, so I let it sit for a while and then continued the last 3 -4 km up to the summit, by the time I got there I got the fault warning again about 100m from the summit.At this point I was 4 blocks from home. When I got back in the car I got a Transmission Fault (limited gear message). I continued to drive almost home. The vehicle started to blind, the dash went out and the entire vehicle shut down as I turned on my block. I killed it. I had to have it towed to my house. Did I **** it.The same day i tried in manual gearbox mode to switch from5 to 6 gear even rev is too low and speed too low , i moved gearbox jack 4-5 times trying o force gearboxmto change gear to 6 , gearbox nitnallowed to do it so i back to automatic mode, just after that "transmission fault selected gears only" appeared justnafter few seconds of hand brake Hi. I got into my vehicle this morning, and reversed down my driveway, when the following error message popped up "Transmission Fault - Limited Gears Available" When I selected "D" the vehicle did not move, but if I selected "R" it worked. Also tried it in sport mode, but it did not select any gear. ePce.
